Hi! My name is Antonia Harvey, and I am a Jamaican-American musical theater performer. I was born and raised on Long Island, New York. I have a big family with three siblings, two brothers and a sister, who are my best friends in the entire world. Scratch that– my real best friends are my two Maltese-Shih Tzus, Parker and Milo. I like Six Flags, roller coasters, traveling on academic-related trips, gaming, and doing all things musical theater! As you would expect from someone graduating with a BFA in Theater Arts with a concentration in Musical Theater, I love anything that involves acting, singing, and dancing. My freshman year of high school production of Little Shop of Horrors made me realize that this is what I want to, no, NEED to do for the rest of my life. I had no lines, as I was a part of an expanded Urchins select ensemble, but the physical acting and reacting to my scene partners enraptured me. I realized it’s not just about being the star, it’s about the collective work we build upon together. I value ensemble work and devised pieces, and this production was just that. Not to mention how much I LOVE choir, so the music rehearsals felt like home. Theater is home. So why not pursue something that tests me and makes me feel safe all at the same time? It’s my everything.

If I had to describe my work ethic in one word, it would be “obsessed”. I am neurodivergent, and I would confidently call musical theater my special interest. I am a jovial and fun-loving person, but when it comes to my work? I am locked. In. I do my given circumstances, textual analysis scores, and character body work with dedication and a huge smile. As I mentioned before, performing isn’t a want; it’s a need. So, I will grab at any chance to perfect my craft.
